Anti-dumping duty on blankets

Published On: July 1, 2014

The Government of Mexico Secretariat of the Economy imposed an anti-dumping duty on synthetic fiber blankets made in China following a one-year investigation spurred by complaints from two Mexican manufacturers. Imports of manmade fiber blankets originating in China will be subject to anti-dumping duty if the customs value of the products is less than $12.10 per kilogram. The duty would be calculated as the difference between the import price and the reference price for the blankets. The period of injury and causation has been determined to be January 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012.
