Responding to the wildfires that ravaged Gatlinburg and parts of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the American Rental Association (ARA) Foundation and the ARA of Tennessee have joined forces to donate $6,000 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts. The ARA Foundation matched the ARA of Tennessee’s donation of $3,000 through its Matching Funds Program. The fires claimed 14 lives, left 134 injured, damaged or destroyed more than 1,600 structures and forced the evacuation of 14,000 people. The donation will help those in the equipment rental industry, their families and communities impacted by the disaster. The ARA is an international trade association for owners of equipment rental businesses and the manufacturers and suppliers of construction/industrial, general tool and party/event rental equipment. The ARA Foundation is the recognized leader for philanthropic support in the rental equipment industry.
