Lectra, a Paris-based integrated systems manufacturer for technologies used to cut high-ply materials (fabrics, leather and technical textiles) will be used exclusively by Wisconsin-based Johnson Controls Inc. in its automotive seating supply business.

The two companies formed a partnership 10 years ago and extended the agreement for another three years. Johnson Controls supplies innovative and stylish seating systems for 50 million cars each year, produced in the company’s 220 plants worldwide. Lectra’s expertise and technology, combined with its maintenance services, deliver maximum up-time for Johnson Controls’ around-the-clock production, reduce the cost per cut piece and ensure on-time delivery.
