Strong bale tarpaulins at a reasonable price

Problem: Off-the-shelf tarps for covering large stores of hay and straw are relatively inexpensive, but they aren’t very durable. With the high price of hay and straw, a reliable covering is necessary.

Solution: The Profitable Farming Company will be launching the Bull Flex, a new line of bale tarpaulins that will augment the company’s current Performer line. Bull Flex is designed to be easy to use and have a far longer life than many off-the-shelf tarpaulins, but provides a lower-cost alternative to the Performer. With reasonable care, it should last an average of five years. The bale tarpaulin is made from a heavy-duty material with a tensile strength of 97kg. Instead of grommets that can be easily torn out, the Bull-Flex is fitted with high strength webbing tie-down loops, with triangular reinforcing tabs, that are sewn in at 90cm intervals along the tarp. The straps mean that when tied down, the strain is spread over a greater area of the tarpaulin, giving it more than three times the strength of tarps using grommets.
