ASID moves to NeoCon

Published On: January 1, 2009

Building on the success of the annual NeoCon® World’s Trade Fair, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced plans to launch a new ASID National Conference in conjunction with the 2009 event, June 15–17. Each year, NeoCon brings together more than 50,000 attendees to Chicago’s Merchandise Mart to unveil the latest trends and products in the contract furnishings industry.

ASID is a community of people—designers, industry representatives, educators and students—committed to the interior design profession. More than 40,000 members participate in a variety of programs and activities through a network of 48 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. The organization is the founding sponsor of InformeDesign (www.informedesign.umn.edu), a searchable database that enables evidence-based design by using research summaries focused on design and human behavior, created and operated by the University of Minnesota.
