Krylon offers alternative to TT-L-50G

We’re working on a government bid and we need a lacquer that meets TT-50, Type II. Do you know where we can get it?
The full designation of this specification is TT-L-50G, with the title Lacquer, Nitrocellulose, Acrylic and Acrylic Butyrate, Aerosol (in pressurized dispensers). Essentially this was a spray-on product, and Type II was for the acrylic version. Unfortunately, this specification was written in the 1970s and canceled without replacement in 1999. We did find some references to a Krylon product, their Crystal Clear KO1303, being equivalent. When we contacted Krylon they explained that they cannot say that their product meets TT-L-50, since that spec was canceled, but that it does have similar performance characteristics. Unlike their spray paints, Krylon does not sell this product retail, but through industrial supply companies. Check with your local supplier, or look up potential suppliers on the Krylon Web site.
